Mistakes are common when writing amounts in words on cheques or vouchers. Type the figure and get correct Bangla and English words using the crore–lakh system.

Bangla or English digits work. Commas and paisa (2 decimals) are fine — e.g. 12,500.50

How to use

  1. Type the amount on the left (paisa allowed).
  2. The words in Bangla and English appear on the right instantly.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum amount?

Up to 99,99,99,99,999 (just under one lakh crore).

Why "Only" at the end?

Writing "only" after the words is the customary practice on cheques and vouchers so that nothing can be added later.

What format is used?

The Bangladeshi cheque style: "Taka … Only" in the crore–lakh–thousand system, with paisa after "and".

Should I verify before submitting to the bank?

Yes. Make sure figures and words match; a mismatch can lead the bank to return the cheque.
